General Engine Run and Taxi Procedures
Part 1 discusses Runway Incursion avoidance, Duties of the left and right seat occupants during the engine run and taxi operation, and General cautions and airport safety items.
Part 2 is dedicated to aircraft marshalling and airport communications.
Part 3 covers airport markings and signs, Airport lighting systems, and aircraft taxi safety.
Part 4 discusses a typical engine start, and define engine start abnormals that can occur during the start process.

Upon Completion of this course, the learner will;
Understand the high amount of responsibility incurred when performing run and taxi operations.
Understand the duties of both the left and right seat occupants during run and taxi operations.
Be familiar with aircraft marshalling procedures.
Understand airport tower and ground communication procedures.
Be able to identify airport markings and lights and know the procedures associated with them.
Know what general airport safety procedures must be followed during run and taxi operations.
Understand the process of a normal engine start.
Be able to identify engine start abnormals such as an engine fire, hot start, hung start etc…
