The Fuel Tank Safety course is divided into two modules. The first module looks at the history of aircraft fuel tank explosions. It examines the specific hazard that is involved in fuel tank explosions as well as previous and newly developed prevention tactics. The regulation changes that were made in response to past accidents involving fuel tank explosions are also explained.

The second module focuses on the effects the new regulations have had on the Manufacturers, the Operators, and the Maintenance Organizations. Specific examples of mandatory maintenance requirements, found in various maintenance documents, are used to familiarize the individual with these new FAR requirements.  There are 5 quiz questions in each module. The questions and answers are randomly shuffled so that no two quizzes are the same.

Estimated Length: 1 hour(s) and 30 minute(s)
