767 Instrument Landing System Training is an eLearning course. It is a slide presentation that introduces the learner to the 767 Instrument Landing System.

This course is designed to be used as a stand alone training module. It will also be included as part of the 767 Lower Landing Minimums Systems Curriculum.

There are knowledge assessment questions spaced throughout the presentation. Knowledge Assessment Questions are meant to reinforce specific training objectives. They are written in green text, have no point value, and the learner is given unlimited attempts to answer the question correctly.

There is a multiple choice test at the end of the presentation. The user must obtain a minimum score of 70% to pass the course.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student will;

  • Understand the basic theory and purpose of the Instrument Landing System. (ILS)
  • Know the aircraft ILS components, locations and installation requirements.
  • Be able to interpret normal ILS indications on the EADI and Flat Panel Displays.
  • Be able to recognize failures in the ILS.
  • Know how to troubleshoot the 767 ILS using the Receiver test switches and ILS Control Panel test switches.
  • Become familiar with the 767 Instrument Landing System MEL requirements.
