Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the student will; • Be familiar with terms and acronyms associated with the 767 AFDS. • Be able to locate the 767 AFDS Components. • Understand the purpose of each Autopilot/Flight Director system component. • Be able to describe how the 767 autopilot system is used during cruise flight. • Have an understanding of the 767 Autoland process. • Know the difference between Fail Passive and Fail Operational autoland. • Be able to interpret AFDS cockpit warnings, cautions, and indications. • Know how to utilize the MCDP to analyze flight faults and pilot reports. • Be able to use the MCDP to perform ground tests of aircraft systems.
